“Great art picks up where nature ends.” ~Marc Chagall

It has been said that the Hamptons has some of the best natural lighting in the world. Renowned artists from Jackson Pollock, Ossoria and Willem de Kooning have drawn inspiration from the nature that surrounds them here on the East End.

Our farm not only inspires campers but also teaches how to reduce, reuse and recycle through the arts.

We do this by finding recyclable materials and turn them into wonderful creations. We open campers' minds to an artistic awareness to be creative.

Campers also work with wonderful local artists and work with different mediums from learning basic drawing skills, to painting or exploring with mixed media.

Julia Greffenius

Julia Greffenius established her career as a renowned painter of whimsical art. She is a graduate of Parsons and both her parents are respected artists. Her work is widely collected and represented in a number of important private collections in America and abroad. Her work has been the recipient of international accolades and was selected in a juried exhibition at the Deichtorhallen Museum of Modern Art in Hamburg.
Julia's new work explores expression through an innovative pallet. A swimmer emerging at the surf's edge. A skier in the afterglow of a run. The power of a whale's tail rising from the sea. Wonderfully unexpected glistening moments of action, sparkling moments in life, translated with paint and texture where the nexus of contrast, material and personality come together on canvas. Julia will work with The Art Farm campers to inspire young minds to access their creative channels to create through art.

Paton Miller
After leaving his home in Hawaii to journey through Asia in 1974, Paton Miller arrived on the East End of Long Island with a collection of travel inspired artworks that won him an art scholarship from Southampton College. Graduating with honors, Paton launched his career in over twenty solo and numerous group exhibitions in New York City and throughout the United States. Today, his works are exhibited internationally, in cities such as Florence and Shanghai. Paton's paintings are now among the most widely collected works between the East End of Long Island and New York City. The Art Farm campers will have the amazing opportunity to receive instruction from Paton.

Casidhe Eero
Casidhe Eero, Artist and Art Educator was raised on Eastern Long Island. She currently exhibits her work in numerous locations. Casidhe received her Bachelors in Fine Arts and a Masters in Art Education at Adelphi University. She is currently a studio manager, and an Art Educator at Studio 703 in Port Jefferson NY. In her current body of work she is exploring the human figure, space, and movement. The concept of being connected to people around her is what inspires her oil and acrylic paintings. She is becoming more connected to individuals, her culture, and her surroundings through a sculptural painting process. She portrays energy through expressive mark making, bold color, texture, shape and line, while still holding onto form and composition. Her paintings are stimulating because of the cropping of the image, the size of the canvas, and loud color palettes. Casidhe focuses on the process of painting rather than the outcome, and this is what she strives to educate her students to experience during their art making.
