FIRST DAY OF CAMP
If your child begins camp June 28th, we will have several staff members throughout the picnic area in the center of the campus to assist in directing you to your assigned classrooms. If you begin later in the season, please go to the office and we will direct you from there. Daily activity schedules can be picked up in the office and will also be posted in each classroom. Our last day of camp, Friday, August 20th will be the 5th annual Art Farm carnival.
PICK UP AND DROP OFF
Each day activities begin promptly at 9:30 so if you are late, it is your responsibility to deliver your children to
their first scheduled activity. Drop off will begin at 9:20 (no earlier please) each day in our drop off circle
located near the field house in the lower parking lot or for half day the front parking. Pick up every day will
be at your child’s assigned classrooms. 12:30 pick up can use the upper parking lot in front of the main office
clearly marked with enter and exit signs. 3:30 pick up please use the lower lot near the drop off circle.
LUNCH
You may pack or buy lunch for your child/children. If you purchase lunch you must order and pay a day in advance.
Lunch forms will be available in every classroom. Each classroom is equipped with a refrigerator to keep
the lunches cold. We provide a home-cooked nutritious snack. Water is abundant throughout the camp grounds. PLEASE NO PEANUT BUTTER or NUTS OF ANY KIND!
SWIMMING (Full Day campers)
Bring swimsuit, towel and sun block. We will put arm swimmies on all children ages 4 and 5. If you do not want
this, written permission must be given to the main office stating that your child does not need to wear them. If you prefer anything other than swimmies (life vest etc) you need to provide it. A lifeguard is on duty at all times. If you do not want your child to participate please provide a note to the office; alternative activities will be provided in another age appropriate group. If your child’s schedule indicates swimming as their first activity
of the day, send them in their swimsuits and bring their change of clothes. Kara Cheslock is returning for
her 8th summer with us. She is a certified water-safety instructor. She will be teaching our campers during
their regular pool time. Kara is also available for private lessons after camp, to schedule lessons please contact
her directly at 875-1132.
KIDDIE POOL (Half Day campers)
We use small kiddie pools for water fun on hot days. The water is emptied when not in use. If pool is on the
schedule as the first activity of the day, dress child in their bathing suit and bring a change of clothes. Otherwise,
just bring swimsuit in the child’s tote along with their lunch and a second set of dry clothes and undies
for accidents.
ELECTIVES
For all our campers 8 years and older, you will be able to customize your daily activities from an elective list
each morning. This will happen with your counselors’ right at 9:30, so get to your classrooms on time so we
can start having fun right away. If you are attending the water sports program in the morning, the bus leaves
PROMPTLY at 9:35 a.m. If you miss it, we will have directions available for you to take the children to join the
group on site. We suggest that you come early to get your electives done and to catch the bus on time. Drop
off begins at 9:20.

We have a riding program available to all campers where they will learn to ride and care for the horses. Helmets
are provided. Sneakers are fine but no sandals please during riding time. If your child has boots and
wishes to use them, they can bring them to camp. Private lessons are available after camp hours and on weekends.

FRIDAYS ON THE FARM
The Farmer’s Market is one of our shining moments when the children sell their baked goods, herbs & flowers
from the garden, tee-shirts, etc in our outside market at 3:30. The Art Farm will match and double all funds
raised. This money will be donated to Mari’s Children. Every Friday is our Art Show Extraordinaire! See the
fabulous weekly creations in the art room (don’t forget to take home your child’s treasures each week).
MISCELLANEOUS
-
To make our first time campers comfortable we have a 3 day separation process. We hope this helps make the
transition smooth.
-
If you wish to pick up your child early, please inform the head counselor of your child’s group.
-
No child will be released to a non family member without knowing the password
-
Occasionally we must make a change in the counselor’s group assignments, either temporarily or permanently,
and we ask for your cooperation as we try to make such transitions easy and smooth for the children.
-
If your child takes a regularly prescribed medication, we are happy to store them in the office. Your child will
need to come to the office at the prescribed time for it to be administered. First aid kits are located throughout
the camp and in the office.
-
There is a lost and found in each building and one by the main office.
GRATUITIES
The counselors work very diligently to provide a wonderful experience for the children. Your gratuity is very
much appreciated! Parents always asks us how much they should give them, our suggestion is $20 per child per
week to the group.
