Once Upon a Time...
There was an idea, a box of crayons and paper, a horse farm, sheep, ducks and a barn ... and three little campers.

The Story:
I wanted to offer children a place where they could feel safe and therefore blossom, a place where values are instilled and compassion and respect become part of a daily practice, a place where friendships are made and children want to return summer after summer…… In 1995 we started with 3 little campers, and quickly grew. After a few years, along with the birth of my first son, we added Mommy & Me classes, and we now offer programs from ages 6 months to 15 years.

Our Philosophy:
To offer children a non-competitive environment coupled with a farm experience. There are many reasons our camp is a very special and magical environment. Popular among the children is the farm, where our family of furry friends lives: PigCasso our famous pig, goats, chickens, bunnies, horses and more. Our belief in “giving back” and the participation of the entire camp throughout the summer, in our charity organization, Mari’s Children, make us unique and instills in each child the value of helping children around the world.  Every Friday we have a Farmer’s Market where home baked goods (made by the children) are sold and the proceeds help children in need all over the world. The entire camp recycles and we teach the children about caring for the environment in our science and nature classes. We offer a wide variety of activities, so that our campers can try something new every day. For our older ones, we have incorporated a water sport program, and they can either spend half the day at camp then go to the beach, or they can spend the entire day on the local beaches surfing, water skiing and wake boarding.

Giving Back:
A strong piece of who we are.  All along we have been active in giving back and participating in our community.  In 2005, our own Charity, Mari’s Children, was founded, and it continues to grow and help children around the world.

ECO-Friendly:
The Art Farms are eco-friendly. As our philosophy continues to evolve we are expanding our environmental programs, including an art center which utilizes recycled materials. Also, local artists will be working on a large-scale outdoor recycled sculpture. We teach children to be environmentally conscious by creating programs where children can learn to better care for our planet.

A very special thanks to Pamela Emil, an amazing children’s photographer who generously gave her permission
