Mari's Children |

One of the foundations of The Art Farm is "Paying it Forward". Whether you enroll in a class, sign up for preschool, celebrate your birthday party or join us for summer camp you will be helping children in need. Mari's children was founded by The Art Farm's director Mari Linnman in 2005. The organization works closely with The Art Farm camp in the Hamptons as well as The Art Farm in the City. There is a yearly carnival in Bridgehampton every August and there is a weekly Friday's Farmers Market where the children sell all the baked goods that they have made during the week. All the proceeds go to the charity. The Art Farm in the City's toy store donates 15% and both companies donate a percentage of their yearly profits.

After the rainy carnival in 2005, it was great to enjoy such a nice, sunny day. I want to thank you all so much for your support. This summer, combined with the farmer's market, we raised a total of $30,000. Here are all the wonderful things we will be able to accomplish in South Africa thanks to your generousity.

-Upgrade and expand a children's clininc

-Send children to preschool in Ikageng in Orland West Soweto

-Send students who are AIDS orphans to university

-Open a daycare facility

We also received several sponsorships for our children in Thailand and to date we have sent 36 chidlren to school since we started this program back in the spring of 2007
